Residency at The Crypt Gallery, St Pancras Parish Church

This residency (17-22 December 2016) provided an opportunity for me to explore my current ‘keeping time’ work. The invitation from the Crypt was for artists to create work in response to its evocative spaces and history. The stories and memories embodied in the place offered me new ideas of making visual images which explore and express the thinking, sensing and marking of the passing of time. I developed timed, walking pieces in different physical areas of the Crypt. The walking pieces from this residency inspire me to consider ‘walking time’ in other places of memory.
